Finance Calculators

Built separately for each country, because a mortgage in Toronto and a mortgage in Texas are not the same product.

Questions

What people ask

Why five versions of each calculator?

Because the underlying products differ. Compounding frequency, tax bands, national insurance, superannuation, EPF, student loan thresholds, GST and sales tax all work differently in the five countries. One calculator covering all five would have to be wrong in at least four of them.

How current are the tax figures?

Every calculator that uses tax constants shows the tax year it applies to, in the page itself rather than in a footnote, and lists the official source. If the year shown is not the year you need, the figures will not be right for you.

Is my salary or balance sent anywhere?

No. The arithmetic runs in your browser, and this site makes no external requests of any kind — you can confirm that in your browser's network tab. Nothing you type is stored or transmitted.

Are these financial advice?

No. They are arithmetic, shown with its workings so you can check it. A calculator does not know your circumstances, and nothing here is a recommendation to borrow, invest, or do anything else with your money.
